If you're interested in owning the heaviest furniture feasible, this may be the ticket. All you need to do is cut, peel, and dry and you're all set. In all honesty, this was a really fun project and I'm super happy with how it turned out.
Other than the glass for $20 off of craigslist, these tables came out to be free with a little bit of sweat and effort. My dad had a down tree on his land so we cut it up to proper side table lengths, i peeled the bark, and then just let them sit in my garage to dry. They're pretty level but I could always add feet to the bottoms to even them out if need be. They add just the right amount of "rusticness" to my otherwise pretty modernly outfitted house (even though my house was built in 1916).
